It’s the late 1950s and Beverly Danek is a normal, straight-laced, girl-next-door type of gal. She is insecure, like most girls her age, and longing for her Prince Charming. She dreams of falling in love, marrying, having children, and simply being a mother and homemaker.
Searching for love and a date for her high school’s prom, Beverly meets Antoni Kaminiski. To Beverly, Antoni is the dreamiest guy to possibly ever exist. He is intelligent, suave, and charming; he can wrap anyone around his finger. His romantic pursuit of Beverly is relentless and grandiose. Beverly falls fast and hard; this is surely the beginning of her happily ever after.
Things get serious fast, but just as quick, Antoni begins to show his true colors. Yet with every confrontation from Beverly, Antoni reassures her that they are destined to be together, starting the honeymoon cycle all over again.
Yet as her fairy tale ending day by day morphs into an even more tragic and horrifying reality, Beverly must cogitate and trace the delicate boundaries of her love and devotion.
